OOC: Since Chloe was told she could bring Mandy, I just assumed Karen could
bring her dogs too. I hope that's OK.

Ic: ((Shuttle Bay 1, Deck 10, USS Eagle))

=20

Karen was surprised to be the first to arrive. She had been told she could
bring her dogs, so she brought them both on leashes. She would let them off
the leashes when they got to the surface.

=20

She looked at Serinus with interest. She remembered reading a book with a
character who was dressed the way he was once, but she couldn't remember th=
e
title or the character.

=20

Strong: Hello. ::looking around:: Did I get the time wrong?

=20

Serinus: Congratulations, you're the first one here.

=20

Strong: Oh, good. I've had dreams about messing up times for important
events and I thought I'd actually done it this time.

=20

She grinned. Then the shuttle bay doors opened and more people began
arriving.

=20

Strong: Hi. It's good to see you again.

Karen stared at the breathtaking view as the shuttle touched down and the
engine died. The next time she went to the holodeck to draw, or paint, this
would be the scene she would depict. She wanted to paint this picture and
hang it in her quarters. It would look perfect above her bed; the clearing,
the brook, the rock formation, and especially the beauty of the sun
reflecting off the colored quartz rocks. She wished she could depict the
smell and the feel of the air in her drawing.

=20

She followed Serinus out of the shuttle. Siegfried and Roland healed
obediently, sniffing the cool clean air with interest, wagging their tails.

=20

Serinus: Let's get our bags out.

=20

Karen got her things out and followed where he was pointing, past the front
of the cockpit, about ten feet from the brook.

=20

Serinus: We're setting up that way.

=20

Karen released the dogs, knowing they would follow her without the leashes.
That freed her to carry her bags more easily.

=20

She went to a spot and began setting up her tent.

Karen smiled.

=20

Strong: Me too. Have you ever been camping before? It's been years for me!
