** *((Tiruelle I Moon - Northern Hemisphere))((Crystal Fountain underground cavity))* * :: Christopher got distracted for few seconds when he realized that some large drops of that crystal were lying ahead. After grabbing them and carefully put them inside an inner coat pocket he turned his gaze to the strange silhouette again. But he had vanished into the air. It took him just half a minute to get the crystal, he couldn't leave without him noticing. :: Lambert: What the hell!!! ::looking around at every corner of that crystal cavity structure:: :: But as he gazed down he could see his own footprints mixed with others pointing to the opposite direction, at the exact place where that man was standing before. :: Lambert: Well. Well. I=C2=B4m not hallucinating this time. ::grinning:: :: After realizing how particularly interesting was that experience, and with all the data registered at the tricorder, Christopher checked the chronometer. He had lost track of the time and two and half minutes had passed ahead of the deadline. The science guy was in trouble and he hurried to find the exit. But where was it? :: Lambert: I can't see the passageway. ::starting to panic:: :: He once again took the tricorder and scanned the area, but he failed at every attempt. It seemed that from that point of view, inside the bubble reality, there was no entrance. No exit. :: Lambert: Damn!! (( Ensign Knights quarters, U.S.S Atlantis )) :: Christopher woke up and immediately thought about the Crystal cavity under the Caraadian fountain. But the surroundings were different, very much federation style. As he realized he was laying on a bed with someone watching over him he decided to sit at the edge of the bed. A little confused he figured it was Ensign Knight who was caring for him. :: Knight: Welcome back to the land of the living. :: Giving Lambert the drink :: Lambert: Oh! ::getting the glass:: Thank you, Ensign. Knight: That was some experience, I was almost worried for there. Only for a minute though, what did you find down there? Lambert: I'm not sure ::searching for his coat and tricorder:: Knight: I hope it was worth it. Next time we go on a near-death adventure, I get to choose. :: Laughing loudly:: Lambert: ::grinning:: It was a calculated risk thank you very much= for the help. That was very important for me. Knight: If you say so, Chris. :: Taking a moment catch his breath :: Were we the only ones down there? :: Christopher was not sure how he was going to answer that. He didn't remember how he got out of the bubble reality or if he was hallucinating due the lack of oxygen. Either way, there was only one way to know for sure. :: Lambert: Hmmm!!! Did you experience something? ::trying to stand up and walk toward the place where his belongings were:: Knight: response :: He checked the pockets and found the crystal samples there. The crystal dust was already there as well and it was still glowing. :: Lambert: Look at that! ::smiling:: That's fascinating, right? Knight: response Lambert: Let's check my tricorder. ::sitting again on the sofa:: But David! Tell me a little more about that voice! Did you ever experience an alternate state of mind?
