Whatever it was saying, it didn't sound as though ithad much to do = with the simulation anymore - but Teryn didn't have the time to consider thi= ngs carefully.:: Young:: Steady on pepperhead! ::To Vehk:: Run! ::Teryn didn't have to be told twice. He bounded after Young, the s= liding coins underfoot making keeping his footing precarious. Then the dragon=E2= =80=99s tail lashed out, sweeping into the base of the coin pile. Teryn fell to his= knees, sliding in the shifting pile, only kept on his feet by using his staff to balance. The battle was chaotic - grenades blew gaps in the dragon's scales = but threw treasure everywhere. Ardaris had the sword, somewhere, but he could= no longer see her. Teryn followed after Young as the dragon's head = came back around, teeth exposed in an enraged snarl.:: Rajel/Saveron/Foster/Choi/Vehk//datafrag: ? Atan: I suggest we hit it with all we have. Young: Gladly! ::Young darted out of the shield, drawing his bow and arrows and letting several volleys fly - most of which seemed to do little damage. Their attacks seemed to annoy the creature more than damage it. Teryn ran to Young to get him back into the shield.:: Sindri:: I don't actually think anyone is holding back at this poin= t we just need to do it together! Vehk: Ardaris! Rajel/Saveron/Foster/Choi/datafrag: ? Young: Uhh, nope ::Ditching the bow and scrambling to get back within Vehk's shield bubble again. :: :: And that was when Ardaris launched herself, slicing at the dragon's neck= with the magic blade. Ice against fire. The blade hissed as it struck, slicing through draconic flesh and bone. But not instantly. The dragon used= the last of its strength to breathe fire. The fire blazed across the treasure piles, hitting Teryn's shield f= ull on. It parted around it, the shield blazing bright and the temperature inside= rising quickly as the blast continued its assault...until, abruptly, it stopped, and the dragon went quiet. In the silence that followed, the kitten in Teryn's hood mewed.:: Sindri: ::Gripping grenades in both hands.:: Or do that? Young: ::To Vehk:: Oh wow.. If it wasn't for you, I'd be toast. Vehk: ::Teryn was panting, both from the heat and from the surprise they hadn't just been turned to toast.:: You're welcome. Atan: I think it's dead. Sindri: I'm not too sure about that.. ::He looked about carefully.:= : This game has rules, so something should change if we achieve a goal? Atan: Let's hope the simulation plays by the rules and lets us out now. Young: ::Sighing:: That would be nice. ::Teryn crawled up the treasure piles to where the dragon lay, smoke still= coming from its nostrils. The head wasn't completely severed; it wa= s held on by a few lines of gristle and bone. He frowned. Who knew what the things= was capable of? He looked at Ardaris and the others near by.:: Vehk: Stand back. ::With that he raised his staff again and slammed it hard into the dragon= 's eye, the rod smashing into the creature's skull. Viscera and blood = rose up around it, and the dragon didn't so much as twitch. Teryn nodded, a= ssured that it was in fact dead. Which meant they ought to be able to get out...right?:: Any: ? Vehk: Are we able to issue commands to the program now? Atan: :: hopefully :: Door? Any: ? Yito: Computer end program. ::Apparently not. Teryn sighed, wiping sweat off his face.:: Any: ? Yito: Maybe we need to do something else. Unite the queen and king or something. But I'm no expect at these games. Any: ? Vehk: Given the dragon was speaking in Klingon ::He fell silent fo= r a long moment.:: Perhaps Commander Saveron knows more. ::He turned on his heel, then, and headed towards Jalana and Saveron, greeting the two with a bow of his head.:: Vehk: Commander.
