She had always known it would be a possibility, but had never expect just to get transferred. She glanced around at her empty quarters, most of her things already packed, not that she had had much in the first place. :: McLaren: oO Well... I cant say it wont be nice being closer to home... even if only a little bit. Oo :: Sol leaned back in her chair, wondering just what awaited her aboard Starbase 118, other than her clearance level dropping. It was sure to be full of new experiences. :: McLaren: oO Let's see... Ive packed... what else is there to do? Find transport.... shouldnt be too hard, it is a pretty big Starbase... what else. Oo :: Sol spun around in her chair, looking out the window. She sat for a moment, eyes widening. :: McLaren: oO Essen. I should leave her a message. I hope shes doing ok. Oo :: Sol grabbed a PADD. :: :: *Essen,* *Its been a while. I hope things are well for you and your sister. Things on the Constitution have been... crazy... which is probably the tamest way of putting it.* *I'm being transferred... to Starbase 118. I dont want you to think I just up and left. Or that was appropriate to be said in text. Still the sign off probably showed Sols true feelings best of all. She saved the message and set it to send when Essen returned from her leave. She hoped it would find her. She glanced around her quarters again, picking up her small dufflebag. It was time to get moving if she wanted to sort out transport quickly. She wondered if she should say goodbye to everyone, but she was particularly bad at good byes. It was just easier to slip out quietly. The Captain likely already knew of her transfer, and Essen would to, if the message found its way to her. That was all that really mattered. :: *(( Starbase 104 - Promenade ))* :: The list of arrivals and departures from the Starbase was quite long for a Stabase so far removed from most of the Federation. Sol scanned the list looking for a ship going her way. Most were old cargo haulers, that certainly wouldnt be a comfortable, ride, though would probably be cheap. She let her finger travel down the list. No. No. Not that one. Or that one. Then she stopped. A name was on the list that she hadnt been expecting to see. A name from her family's past. She strolled over to a near by communications terminal and opened a channel to the ship, arranging for passage. :: McLaren: oO The Kongo all the way out here... it must be a sign. Oo :: Somewhere her grandmother was probably laughing at the coincidence. Or maybe she was looking out for Sol. :: :: The Kongo was due to depart within the day. Sol made sure their operations department was able to transfer her personal belongings and the *Spectre* for the trip to Starbase 118. Then he made her way to the Kongo's berth, taking a moment to appreciate the aging Excelsior-class from the observation area. Sol stepped on to the gangway, headed toward her future. And whatever it held in store for her. :: (( OOC: Bye guys!
