Yep, definitely the hard way. After begrudgingly asking the computer for directions from the Holodeck to the bridge, he had discovered that many of the Turbolifts were currently out of service. Something to do with a certain holographic dragon attempting to take over the ship perhaps? So helpful as ever, the computer had led him on a merry old goose chase through the heart of the ship for a good half an hour. Corridor after corridor, jeffries tube after jeffries tube, ladder after ladder. He had almost given up entirely and presumed the computer was either purposefully misleading him or just down right broken until he finally reached Deck 1. Currently, Raven was leaning forwards against the bulkhead outside the Bridge with his face pressed against the cool metal. He shivered as sweat trickled down his back.:: oO After my shift, I'm hunting down that Black Hole Bar Choi and the others were talking about! What a first day! Oo ::Raven stood up and adjusted his new uniform. He took a deep breath between the ragged breaths caused by his trek through the ship and attempted to regain his composure. Waiting until he got his puffing under control and hoping his face wasn't too red and sweaty, he nodded to himself. After a moment of hesitation, he strode into the main Bridge of the USS Constitution. A little over an hour ago, Raven was standing in a massive cavern filled with all sorts of gold and treasures. Diamond's and rubies had filled gold encrusted goblets, treasure chests bursting at the seams, even the majestic golden Roc egg. None of that compared to the Bridge of this starship. He took a few steps into the command center and took it all in. Officers busied themselves with the stream of tasks coming in, most likely the repair effort. The consoles beeped and flashed in rhythm with finger strokes. Nodody seemed to notice the young Ensign enter. Raven made his way over to the nearest empty science console and settled in at the back of the room. He looked over his shoulder in wonderment as Starbase 104 filled the viewscreen. It was time to get to work.:: Young: ::Quietly:: Uhh, Computer? Ensign David Young reporting in. Computer: Please clarify. There are currently 42 Ensign David Young's currently serving in Starfleet. ::Raven hung his head and sighed. It was still not his lucky day.:: Young: Oh, right. Ensign David Young reporting in, Officer number: Charlie-Two-Three-Nine-Four, uhh One-One-Delta-Yankee-Zero. ::The computer beeped as it verified his permissions.:: Computer: Confirmed! Welcome aboard the U.S.S Constitution. Your duty shift will end at 16:00 hours. ::Relieved, he brought up science terminal's internal sensor readings and scanned them quickly. Oh-oh, quite a lot of the data was fragmented. The sensor's were working but not very efficiently. The computer must have had quite a hard time compensating for the malfunctions on the ship. This was as good a place to start as any. Raven surmised that he would need to get the sensors running to full capacity to help the repair crews and engineers diagnose and fix up the ship. He cracked his knuckles and began the long and intensive progress of de-fragging [datafrag]'s mess.:: --------------------- Ensign Dave 'Raven' Young Science Officer USS Constitution-B C239411DY0 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "UFOP: StarBase 118 - USS Constitution-B" group.
