(( Shuttle Bay )) :: She left the lift, noticing the lights blinking to show her the way to Foster's location. Her eyes ahead spotted him, about to enter a transport. Oh hell no. She raised her voice to make sure he would hear her. :: D'Sena: What in Dikken's name do you think you are doing? C. Foster: I'm moving my shit to the starbase? :: She was glad that he had stopped so she had some time to catch up and stare at him. :: D'Sena: We had an appointment today. Who said you can just leave without a word? :: While her face didn't show anything but that stone-like expression she had trouble to hold back the emotions in her voice. She had lost people in the past but who had not. Jack had been transferred just days after her accident and she had assumed that was the reason he had wanted to leave, though only for a few minutes until he clarified quite convincingly. But at least he had told her. That Cade just up and left really didn't sit well with her. It made her angry and sad at the same time.:: C. Foster: The people who told me that I needed to move my stuff on their timeframe? D'Sena: Is that your modus operandi? Abandoning your patients? C. Foster: I was gonna come back!=C2=A0 ::he huffed:: I know, my bad that m= y schedule got screwed, I admit that.=C2=A0 But I ain't abandoning no= body. D'Sena: And what do you call this? ::She gestured to the shuttle he= was going to board:: :: Her pitch black eyes bore into his, watching as he huffed and ran his hand through his hair.:: C. Foster: Akeelah, I'm seventy-something years old, and one thing = this last squid encounter taught me is that starships are a place for the young. :: She had never been able to determine how old he was without actually looking up his file. Human aging process was so very different from Rodulan. So he was between 11 and 20 years older than her. But instead of her still being a young woman by Rodulan standards, he was leaning towards the older age for humans. But that didn't mean he could just leave! :: D'Sena: It is a place for the brave. Age doesn't matter. :: Cade sighed, leaning against the railing and finally let go of his luggage. Until now she had wondered if he would just turn and leave, but now she could have more of his attention, maybe. She still tried actively not to read him. :: C. Foster: Look, Wyn's transferred halfway across the galaxy=E2=80= =A6 I don't need to be on the ship 24/7 anymore.=C2=A0 But I'm not going that f= ar.=C2=A0 This base needs a trainer for their surgical unit and I got friends here.=C2=A0= I'll stick on 104 for a while. :: Akeelah opened her mouth to retort but then stopped before even a sound slipped out. He would stick to 104? That meant he would only go to the Starbase? Not leave the quadrant or something? Something that not many people managed, but Cade had achieved several times in that period of time they knew each other was to make her feel foolish because of her own overreaction. :: D'Sena: You... are staying on the base? ::Pause:: You got friends t= here? C. Foster: Yeah, you know, you, too =E2=80=93 you can be a friend.=C2=A0 An= d I'll keep with your treatment.=C2=A0 Just schedule appointments on shore leaves.= =C2=A0 You guys come back here all the time anyways. :: For a moment she just looked at him, seemingly expressionless. But she actually felt pretty touched to be considered a potential friend instead of just a patient. She had to admit that she was closer in age to him than many other officers she worked with, and during their rehabilitation training they had exchanged some of their life's stories. She could classify that as friend-zone. :: D'Sena: That would be acceptable. ::She paused, remembering that so= meone had told her it sounded cold to say that.:: And welcome. C. Foster: Well, ok, give me enough time to get this stuff over and then we'll keep our appointment.=C2=A0 And then maybe we can catch some = lunch before that big ship launches off to some crazy dangerous mission again, k? D'Sena: ::Taking a deep breath she nodded, her locks bouncing over = her shoulders:: Okay. I am looking forward to that. C. Foster: ? D'Sena: Until then Pran Loni will have to do. It won't be the same, though. He does not seem the bickering blunt type. ::Something she always had appreciated with Cade.:: C. Foster: ? :: She was not very used to using Terran customs, but sometimes she stepped over that invisible shadow and tried to make an effort. So she raised her hand and stretched it out to him.:: D'Sena: I will see you when we return, Cade. Take care of yourself. C. Foster: ? :: The faintest hint of a smile tucked at the corner of her mouth and she lowered her head slightly in a respectful bow. Her hands found the navigation stick again and retreated, shortly after leaving the Shuttle bay and hoping the exercise session with that Bajoran wouldn't be as annoying as she feared it would be. :: ----- LtCmdr Akeelah D'Sena Security Officer - Momentarily off duty simmed by Captain Jalana Rajel Commanding Officer USS Constitution B Image Team Facilitator A238906JL0 GTalk: JessWerner79@gmail.com, Yahoo: Lawinia_A@yahoo.de , Skype: chandni_khondji, Discord: Chandni#6085 Email: werner-jessica@gmx.de -- *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*= ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* "Maybe it was a gas leak in the shed." Her parents' mumbling voices went past Alana, it was all too much for her. Never had she seen a fire like that, and the pile of ashes in the garden showed how lucky they were that nobody had been inside when it went off. But something felt wrong with what her brother said. Not the words themselves in the first moment, but seeing their gazes, the looks her parents shot over to her every now and then. They were full of shock and something else that the little ten year old girl had never seen before. Fear. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*= ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Ashwood Falls - Sra'kalor *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*= ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "= UFOP: StarBase 118 - USS Constitution-B" group.
