((Personal Quarters - USS Constitution)) ::The crates and duffels weren't strewn everywhere. Quite the opposite, they were all stacked and stowed neatly. But to the Cygnian occupant's eye, they may as well have all been hanging from the proverbial chandelier. Tanin Kelbi was a stickler for organization, part occupational hazard as an Operations officer and part personal quirk, and the continued presence of the chattels of her transfer irked her. The tip of her tail thumped lightly against her right ankle as irritation set it in slight motion.:: Kelbi: Gamma shift. No good for catching up on anything. ::She was a seasoned officer of nearly a decade, and a good one too if the three pips on her collar were any indication. Tanin only judged herself by the results of the task at hand, and let the upper brass decide on the big picture of her merit. She wasn't above doing the hard tasks, or taking the short straw for shift scheduling on a new assignment, if that was what was required of her. All the same, it had been a long time since she'd had to regularly work the Gamma shift, and the lack of sleep was keeping her from getting even the simplest of secondary tasks done. It had been a rush to get to the Marchlands and onto the Constitution before it launched on its most recent mission, and in the time since she had barely seen the inside of her eyelids, let alone the inside of a suitcase.:: Kelbi: Or the security chief to finalize my security credentials. Or the counselor for my initial posting assessment. Or even the chief of my department. *yawn* ::Nope, it had been a whirlwind first few days aboard the Constitution. It was far from her first ship - not even the first Galaxy class - so she hadn't needed any hand-holding to acquaint herself with the vessel and her base duties. Still, Tanin was looking forward to meeting more than the skeleton shift junior officers and getting things in order. That alone, getting things in order starting with her quarters, would ease her mind considerably and help her sleep.:: Kelbi: ::sighing:: But I should take care of some other priorities first. ::As much as she would have loved to lounge around her quarters all day and leisurely unpack, Tanin knew she should take care of some of her new-assignment responsibilities first. Scuttlebutt had it that many of the senior officers were off ship on an Away mission, so she likely couldn't get a security check or a counselling appointment, but there was always somebody in Sickbay. She should go and have her medical done. After she had procrastinated as long as she could reasonably do, she changed from her nightskirt into a duty uniform, carefully wrapping her tail around her leg before putting on her slacks. Some tailed officers wore the uniform variant known as skants, some wore modified trousers, but Commander Kelbi preferred to keep her tail safely stowed away. Less attention drawn to it, and less accidental trodding on the appendage by innocently careless feet. After her uniform was arranged just so, to make her look more alert and professional than she actually felt, Tanin made her way to the ship's medical bay.:: ((Sickbay - USS Constitution)) ::Like every Starfleet medical bay, this one had that clean, antiseptic air about it. Everything was quiet, and there was hardly anyone about. There definitely wasn't a doctor in sight, but that didn't mean that there wasn't one in an adjunct room or an office.:: Telbi: Hallooo? Anyone: response Talbi: Oh! Good day, Nurse. I don't suppose there is a doctor on duty who could perform a routine assignment medical? ((OOC: I know Spears is on the bridge, though he is angling for a possibility of returning to Sickbay.)) Anyone: response Telbi: Well, I can wait a few minutes, I suppose, and if the doctor doesn't return, then I can try again later. *Commander Tanin KelbiCommunications, USS Constitution* *A239111MT0* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "UFOP: StarBase 118 - USS Constitution-B" group.
