(( Joint Cadet Quarters - Deck 37 )) Thyar: This must be a joke. :: But it wasn't. Surrounded by her belongings, the PADD in her hand she stared at the bunk beds in the small joint quarters. She had lived in a really nice place, even though she knew that she was supposed to share it, turned out that these quarters were reserved for Junior Officers and enlisted to share. With an influx of new members of both groups, the Cadets on board now had to vacate those quarters and move into the ones assigned to them. Apparently they had been generous for a while but now couldn't afford that courtesy any more. This room was for lack of a nicer word... small. And the sleeping arrangements were two pairs of bunk beds. So she'd share this with three more people. It was barely enough room for two. Siance shook her head. .oO Get yourself together. Oo. She didn't spend much time in her quarters anyway and if she did, she either slept or studied. Also she knew from experience that cadets at the Academy didn't have more room either, it was just a change from living alone in quarters with four bedrooms and a shared living space - which had felt huge after the Academy living - to a living space with bunk beds in plain view. With a sigh she grabbed her bags and threw one of them on the bottom bed of one bunk, to open it and unpack. At least she'd have her own dresser. As she unpacked the doors swooshed open behind her and as she looked up she looked into the deep black eyes of the Cadet she had seen in Medical a few times. Her brows raised in surprise. Thyar: Oz? Malyz: Look at that. ::He grinned:: Hi Roomie. Thyar: ::dropping the shirt she had just pulled out:: You're going to live here? :: Oz dropped his duffle bag on the ground and plopped down on a chair paired with the table in the room. He crossed his legs, and grinned up to her. :: Malyz: Looks like it. Any idea who the other two are? Thyar: Not a clue. Malyz: We'll see then. ::He looked around the room:: Not really a looker, huh? Thyar: Not exactly. Where have you lived since the Fosters left? Malyz: Same place, but guess they noticed I occupied family quarters by myself. ::Smirking:: Had to happen some time. Thyar: ::chuckling:: Yeah, I had shared junior officers quarters to myself as well. The one time you want Starfleet to ignore you... :: She doors swooshed open once more, revealing their next arrival. Curious who that would be Oz and Siance both turned to them. :: Cr'iori/Taylor: ? Her parents' mumbling voices went past Alana, it was all too much for her. Never had she seen a fire like that, and the pile of ashes in the garden showed how lucky they were that nobody had been inside when it went off. But something felt wrong with what her brother said. Not the words themselves in the first moment, but seeing their gazes, the looks her parents shot over to her every now and then. They were full of shock and something else that the little ten year old girl had never seen before.
